SUSTAINABLE CITIES
AND HUMAN SETTLEMENTS AWARDS

The “Sustainable Cities And Human Settlements Awards” (SCAHSA) (originally named “Global Human Settlements Award”) is an annual worldwide prize awarded by Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS) and supported by UNEP. It is focused on promoting the mission of GFHS and enhancing the implementation of post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals by recognizing Awardees and recommending their prominent progress and valuable experience over the course of a more sustainable goal. It has been successfully held for fifteen years and the awardees come from different parts of the world.

It has created high-level interactive platforms for insiders to share and spread knowledge and experience, exerting significant demonstrative effects and providing a higher profile to the promotion of the realization of Millennium Development Goals and post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.

GFHS Secretariat accepts award applications all year round, from cities, towns, scenic spots, communities, buildings, planning and design, green technology, transportation projects and individuals including children.
